From the other side of the mirror
someone’s watching you
guiltless, running free

Eye to eye
you are naked
not able to hide from me
fall into your reflection
you are already gone

You will see
someone’s always there
watching you
listen to the soft murmurs

Flowing from the gutter
to the nearby lot
staying awake all night
just waiting for you

Falling beneath the earth
leaves, dirt, mud and stone
roots strangling existence
time’s endurance profound
deafening silence echoes loud
